12.12.2007: Bjorn3d.com NF-P12 Review

"I want to point out something that caught my attentions right away. The fan used in the apples-to-apples comparison is very, very loud. The P12 fan used here is near silent and comes within one degree celsius of its performance. Just astonishing the level of performance these fan's have."

Test verdict: "Noctua has a winner on their hands here. Not only is it the quietest fan I have come across but it was able to offer performance of a fan much louder. This is a blessing to my ears. Silent PC users everywhere rejoice! Noctua has a fan for you." (Gregory Gonsowski, Bjorn3d.com)

"The temperature readings were taken on the base of 10 lowest temperature readings. First reading above on the left was taken when the system was up for 2 hours and the NF-P12 was not connected (64.8F/18C). And the reading on the right was taken after approximately 10 minutes of a NF-P12 run time (62.7F/17C). As you can see there is a clearly difference of temperatures when NF-P12 was introduced."

Test verdict: "Well what can i say, another product well designed and build. Legendary quality from Noctua keeps up to its expectations. Just to recap on what's making NF-P12 so different from other fans is the 9 blade innovative design of the blades. Noctua engineers their fans for performance and with the new design of Vortex Control Notches Noctua actually creates better airflow with low noise levels." (Alex Lusakhpuryan, UMLan.com)

10.12.2007: ProClockers.com NF-P12 Review

"I have no real way of measuring decibel levels which I can tell you honestly at the low voltage entensions we barely heard anything from the Noctua fans. But hooking the fans directly to the motherboard and to our power supplies there was very little turbulence for these units. The P12 were easily out gunned by the noise levels of my ATi Radeon 3870s."

Test verdict: "Now looking at the noise levels of the P12 line is the true charm here. No matter how you wire up these fans you are guaranteed to quietness in a level that is desired by all. Even after missing the likes of the S12 and the P12 for a total of seven 120mm fan there still was no complaints." (Tony Walker, ProClockers.com)

09.12.2007: Rbmods.com NF-P12 Review

"Once installed and powered-on, it was clear that Noctua was successful in their main goals: I found the fan to be extremely quiet and powerful. [...] I could barely hear the sound of the fan over the sound of the air moving by, and the air flow was dramatically improved over the generic fan I had installed. The fan seemed to be very balanced, and I couldn't feel any vibrations on the case. I tried out both low-noise adaptors also, but frankly the noise at full-speed is already so low that I don't think the reduced speed is necessary unless you're going for a silent PC build. "

Test verdict: "I'm a believer- Noctua knows what they're doing when it comes to case fans. The Noctua NF-P12 120mm fan is a solid-performing product that delivers results as promised, without any frills. Despite moving more air than other high-end fans, the NF-P12 is still very quiet. And the included low and ultra-low noise adapters allow you to customize your setup just the way you want it. Noctua has performed a lot of research and testing to optimize these fans; maybe it's your turn to give them a whirl." (Michael Chiu, Rbmods.com)

09.12.2007: DragonSteelMods.com NF-P12 Review

"The first thing you'll notice with the Noctua NF-P12 fan is the lack of noise at all rpm levels. The next thing you'll see in the testing results is that the Noctua fan performs better than the other fans while running at a lower fan speed. Obviously the design of the Noctua is excellent, allowing better performance at a lower fan speed while maintaining virtually no noise. Essentially what we are seeing here is that the Noctua NF-P12 is more efficient at moving air than the other fans tested, something that is very desirable with any type of fan."

Test verdict: "Honestly I expected the Noctua NF-P12 to out-perform other fans while still being quiet, and I was correct in my expectations. Noctua performs better than the other fans used in the comparison while running at lower speeds. Silence, performance and quality are things that have become synonymous with Noctua, they truly do make some of the best performing fans on the market today. If you're in the market for a quiet and cool system, I can easily recommend the Noctua NF-P12 fans." (Kristofer Brozio, DragonSteelMods.com)
